Bio

Catherine is a “classically trained social dancer” who received her ballet, jazz, and mime training while growing up in Santa Barbara, California. She was able to apply her love of dance and classical training to ballroom, swing and nightclub dance after moving to San Diego during with the swing revival that originated in San Diego’s gaslamp district in the early 1990’s.
While managing a health clinic and completing a Master of Public Health, Catherine studied to become an all-around dancer with some of the best dancers in the world at Starlight & Champion Ballrooms from 1994-2002.
